Dragon's Den

Taking a 2D concept and giving it a life of its own in 3D. Dragon's Den was a fully self-driven environment project, where I took ownership of the entire process, from building the first assets to crafting the final cinematic.

The world was built from the ground up, with custom modular kits, props, and sculpted details, all modeled and textured to capture the character of the original artwork. I also developed a library of custom shaders and master materials in Unreal Engine, giving me the flexibility to fine-tune colour, brightness, and contrast across the scene. For the fabric elements, I created a masking system that allowed me to paint in tears, holes, and worn edges, bringing a little more history and personality to the environment.

With the assets in place, I focused on bringing everything together through set dressing, lighting, and custom fog cards. These final touches helped establish the atmosphere and give the scene a stronger sense of depth. To finish things off, I collaborated with an animator to turn the environment into a cinematic experience.
